About Tallu Schuyler Quinn

Native Nashvillian and cherished member of Les Dames d’Escoffier Nashville, Tallu Schuyler Quinn made a profound impact in her too-brief life. In 2011, she founded one of the most consequential non-profits in our city: The Nashville Food Project. Her collaborative partnership model of growing, gleaning, cooking and serving nutritious food alongside other poverty disrupting work can be summed up in her catchphrase GROW-COOK-SHARE. Over ten years, her cadre of volunteers working out of a church kitchen expanded into 25 employees administering multi-pronged programs.

Diagnosed in July 2020 with terminal brain cancer, Tallu died in February 2022 at the age of 42. While we grieve her loss, we honor her memory with the Tallu Schuyler Quinn Legacy of Hope Fund.
