Green Door Gourmet Presents Southern Provisions:A Fireside Chat about Southern Food with Authors Nathalie Dupree and David ShieldsDame Sylvia Ganier of Green Door Gourmet, Nashville's only organic certified farm is hosting a fireside chat with acclaimed American food authors Grande Dame Nathalie Dupree and David S. Shields on Friday, Oct. 9. Proceeds will benefit the scholarship fund of Les Dames Nashville.
Nathalie is the award-winning author of 14 cookbooks on Southern cuisine and pioneer of the New Southern Cooking movement flourishing across the U.S. Mastering the Art of Southern Cooking won the James Beard Award for American Cooking.
Food historian David Shields is a Carolina Distinguished Professor and the McClintock Professor of Southern Letters at the University of South Carolina. His newest book Southern Provisions explores early American agriculture and cooking practices and its restoration in the South.Both authors will be signing their recent books.
