A Note from Chapter President Sylvia Ganier + Upcoming Events

Dear Dames,How honored I am to be your new President of the amazing Nashville Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier. The women comprising our chapter are truly outstanding and I am so lucky to have the opportunity to work alongside each and every one of you.Our current chapter goals are simple: (1) continue working on our processes for being a strong and vibrant chapter of philanthropic professionals, mentoring the women of the food, beverage, and hospitality community, (2) getting EACH of our members to participate in ways that best work for her at this moment in her career, (3) working toward all things that ready us for hosting International Conference in 2019. We have much to accomplish, but our foundation is strong, thanks to the hard work of our past presidents, officers, board members AND YOU.There are immediate action items that are very critical steps to our success. One is to make sure that your contact information is up to date in the main LDEI member directory. This is the go to spot for ALL fellow dames to network with you, as a paper directory is no longer printed. This online member’s only directory is burgeoning with great contact information for Dames. Please do not miss out on this key resource. If you need assistance with your login or password, please reach out to the main LDEI email: info@ldei.org.Here in Nashville, take a look at our own chapter's newly redesigned website, LesDamesNashville.org. Your member login for this is different than the site linked above. For access or login details, Erin Murray can assist: murray.erinb@gmail.com.Second, find a committee that you are interested in AND SIGN UP! Scholarship, Nominating, Programs, and Green Tables are among some of the terrific committees that need your expertise. I hope that you can attend our fall potluck at the home of Dame Mindy Merrell (see info below) and learn more about the various committees ... and sign up for one that catches your eye!I think of our gatherings for LDEI Nashville as a way of coming together for community with friends...women who “get us.” Yet, seems as though every time there's a gathering, something comes up! Or I’m tired. Or something happens with the business or family. You?But when I push through and make it happen so I can get to my fellow Dames, my spirits are lifted and my soul refreshed, and I always leave with a new nugget of knowledge. It might not have been easy to get there but it’s absolutely beneficial! With summer coming to a close and the beginning of the fall routine, be sure to add our gatherings to your schedule. It’s so worth the time! And remember – it’s not always easy but it’s absolutely beneficial! I look forward to seeing you very soon.Best,Dame Sylvia Ganier***************A Message from Agenia Clark, Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee: Thank you for the invitation to join you at the Les Dames d’Escoffier meeting.
