Les Dames Quarterly Potluck at Tallu Quinn's Home
Monday, April 1 at 6 p.m.
Nashville Dame Tallu Quinn will host our Quarterly Les Dames Potluck at her home in the 12South neighborhood. These potluck events are a wonderful way to get to know other Nashville Dames and to enjoy some outstanding food and wine. We will also have opportunities to win some great prizes with an "opportunity drawing" that will raise money for our mission of supporting women through scholarship and mentorship. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish (or wine!) to share.
Address is 820 Sutton Hill Road.
We look forward to seeing you at the Spring Potluck!
Reminder! It's new membership outreach time.
Please think about and reach out to women in the culinary world, in various capacities, who you believe will enhance our group and our mission. As a reminder: Membership is by invitation only, and each prospective member must have a Dame Sponsor. LDEI sets out certain requirements: the woman should be a leader in her field of food, beverage, hospitality or farming, with a minimum of 5 years experience. Sponsors are expected to actively engage with Prospective Members, educating and advising them about chapter participation throughout the first year of membership and beyond.
The Prospective Member Application was sent out to members last week and should be filled out and returned to the sponsoring Dame no later than March 28th. The sponsoring Dame also needs to fill out a Sponsoring Dame Statement about why this candidate should be a Nashville Dame. Please submit both forms as the final application to the membership committee no later than April 1 for review: Cara Graham: cara@lockelandtable.com.

February 2019 Member Spotlight:
Diane Bies
Director of Event Planning - Gaylord Opryland
How long have you been a Les Dames member? 3 years
Who is your favorite culinary role model? Why? Courtney Whitmore- Pizzazzerie. Her focus is events but she incorporates food and décor to pull off the most beautiful events. She is also Nashville local!
What is a favorite hobby or passion? I love to read. I live in Franklin and work at Opryland so I listen to a lot of books and podcasts.
What is your favorite restaurant (anywhere in the world or here in Nashville)? There are so many places we love in Nashville, it really is hard to narrow it down! Tansuo and Kayne Prime are two of my favorites. Growing up outside of Cleveland, I am big fan of Michael Symon’s B Spot. It’s always a stop when I visit home.
What is something interesting we might not already know about you? My favorite part of my job is actually the people. I love to hire, recruit, develop and train hospitality managers- grand events are just a part of it all.
