Diana Barton is a freelance public relations expert based in Nashville, Tennessee, specializing in media relations, strategic partnerships, and brand consulting in the hospitality industry. After earning a Communications degree in Journalism & Electronic Media from the University of Tennessee in 2014, Diana Barton began her career at Charleston magazine as the publication’s editorial assistant and blog manager, where she dove into food writing and all things hospitality. Drawn to the public relations side of the industry, she began working with a Charleston-based agency before heading home to Music City to join its newly bustling culinary scene. Her proven track record includes securing impactful and targeted media placements, establishing beneficial strategic partnerships, and organizing and executing successful media campaigns. Passionate about the food and beverage community and its people, Diana is the founder of Slow Food Middle Tennessee, as well as a member of the founding team of Tennessee Action for Hospitality.
Diana’s experience stems from working with various boutique agencies in the hospitality realm, managing celebrity and James Beard Award-winning chefs, launching new restaurants, hotels, and products across the country, and fostering meaningful connections with top-tier national media.
