A Nashville native, Margot worked for Jody Faison at his legendary restaurant Faison’s. She attended the Culinary Institute of America in upstate New York. After graduating, she was head chef of NYC's Danal. Back in Nashville in 1995, she was Executive Chef of F. Scott’s. In 2001, she opened Margot Café & Bar, and opened Marche Artisan Foods in 2005. Margot has been nominated by the James Beard Foundation for Best Chef, was Southeast Semifinalist in 2008, 2009, 2013 & for Outstanding Chef, and Semifinalist 2018. Margot resides in Nashville with her wife, son and two dogs.
